Melbourne, October 16 (ANI): The father of singer Danielle Spencer has expressed his sadness at his daughter's split with actor Russell Crowe after nine years of marriage - but added that he still loves them both.
Don Spencer, who has always enjoyed Crowe's company when the actor has been in Sydney, spoke out as showbusiness circles buzzed with speculation about what was behind the couple's decision to part, the Daily Mail reported.
"I love them both and am naturally sad as any father would be in this situation," the former children's TV show presenter told WHO magazine.
Earlier, even Danielle Spencer's Dancing With The Stars partner Damian Whitewood described the split as "sad".
Whitewood, a professional dancer, is rumoured to be at the centre of the split, with suggestions he and Spencer had become more than just friends when they competed together on the last season of DWTS.
"Wow!, Sad and crazy news day full of rumors I didn't ask for!" Whitewood wrote on Twitter from his Santa Monica, California, home.
Intimate photographs of Whitewood and Spencer cuddling at The Star's Cherry Lounge bar were published in The Sunday Telegraph in July. (ANI)
