Dabangg 2: When Sonakshi Sinha almost stabbed Salman Khan

Mumbai, Dec. 4 -- We've all heard of actors being injured while shooting for stunt scenes (everyone from Jackie Chan to Amitabh Bachchan has sustained injuries). But in a first of sorts, the lead actor of Dabangg 2 - Salman Khan - was almost injured by his romantic interest - Sonakshi Sinha. And from the look of things, this wasn't a domestic quarrel turned nasty for the now-married Chulbul Pandey.

The song Dagabaaz Re has a sequence where Sonakshi and Salman are enacting a scene on a stage. Sonakshi was required to wield a sword playfully for the shot. But it seems, she nearly hit the actor during this shoot.

A source from the film team says, "Due to an error in timing, the sword almost hit Salman. Luckily, it missed his face by a fraction of a second." The source says that while everyone on the set was stunned, both Salman and Sonakshi laughed it off.

"Later, they made sure they were perfectly in sync for this shot. They didn't want a repeat of what had happened earlier." Sonakshi confirms, "While filming that particular shot, I almost stabbed him (Salman)."

Malaika Arora to make appearance in Dabangg 2 item song

She danced in Munni Badnaam Hui alongside Chulbul Pandey in Dabangg (2010). And Malaika Arora-Khan's item number went on to become a chartbuster. Now, she is back in the sequel with the song, Pandeyji Seeti Mare. Even though Malaika and her actor-director hubby Arbaaz Khan are tightlipped about it, we have learned that her presence in the film was never in doubt.

"Malaika has wrapped up her portion of the song. Arbaaz and Salman (actor Salman Khan) had always wanted to retain her in the film since Munni Badnaam Hui had become such a huge hit. They think she is their good luck charm, but she won't be there in the entire song. However, it will surely remind audiences of Munni's madness, colour and energy," says an insider close to the unit. The song is being wrapped up at Mehboob Studio in Bandra. Besides Salman and Malaika, Sonakshi Sinha, who plays Chulbul's wife in the film, is part of the number. FULL STORY
