Congress has no political future: Nitish Kumar

Patna, Feb 7 (ANI): Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has the ruling Congress party had no political future.

Talking to reporters here, Kumar said that the Congress would suffer a political rout at the next general election, on account of the people's anger against the party, given the spate of instances of graft during its second innings in power, which began in 2009.

"Whenever the Lok Sabha goes to polls, there is no future for the Congress party. The political atmosphere and the Congress' popularity have taken such a hit that there is no scope left," Kumar added.

Kumar further said that there was no rift between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and his own Janata Dal-United in Bihar.

"We contest elections separately in several states. The alliance is mainly in Bihar, and there is no adverse impact on that alliance. When a party goes to polls, its workers and office bearers go for campaigning. So if I went and our counterparts of the Bihar, BJP also went (to Uttar Pradesh), there is no need to read too much into it," Kumar added. (ANI)

Strange and not so true.90% of the money this country is in the hands of Congress. This is good enough to win any election for this party.During 65 years of independence, congress has ruled for more than 50 years but the change in the life of the poor or literacy rate is very very insignificant which is main game plan of congress. How then one can say that congress has no future.People of this country have not come to that maturity level to throw out this age-old party, nor the opposition is unitedly confronting it.Only God can predict when this party will have a natural death but I will not be surprised if even God is purchased by this party.

I wonder how many time Nitish Kumar might have said "Congress has no future" but history shows he was utterly "wrong" and Congress has the capacity to bounce back!

You are absolutely right. UPA's false promises, clamping to peoples voices (fundamental right), double standards on corruption and black money, policy paralysis, etc. have made people against them and they will be reduce to zero in next election.
