Hosts Jharkhand took their medal tally to six on Day Two of the ongoing three-day 10th Junior National Wushu Championship in Ranchi.
The junior national tourney of the Chinese martial contact sport has attracted 35 teams from almost all states at Jaipal Singh mega sports complex's Vishwanath Shahdeo indoor stadium in Hotwar.
As of now, Jharkhand has one gold, two silver and three bronze medals, with another day to go.
On Monday, state's Deepak Bahadur won his second silver, this time in Nandao event. On Sunday, he had won it for Nanquan. In both, Deepak lost to Manipur's K. Milgamba Meitei.
Deepak's sister Jyoti Kumari had won gold in Changquan on Sunday, defeating Punjab's Anuradha Dubey. Jyoti's is the state's sole gold.
Sunita Gari and Geeta Xalxo also pocketed a bronze each in Daoshu and Nandao.
The state's third bronze was from Avnish Zharkamandu in Taijiquan.
"The performance of our boys and girls is satisfactory. Hopefully, more medals should come our way," said Jharkhand Wushu Association (JWA) secretary Shivenndra Dubey.
No tally has been prepared by the outfit so far to indicate which team is leading the medal count or what is Jharkhand's rank. Functionaries said they would compile the list by 3.30pm on Tuesday.
Coming to logistics, they said they had made lodging arrangements for roughly 750 people, including 200 girls, 41 judges and 60 coaches and managers.
But there were infrastructure snags as usual.
"We deposited Rs 1.25 lakh with Jharkhand Sports Authority, which includes power charges as well. But half the indoor stadium was lit up. Many lights were off," Shivaji Tiwary, a JWA office bearer, admitted. Due to this, some events were held in poor visibility.
Uday Sahu, another office bearer, said that "strangely" the JWA was told to put up its drinking water stall 20m away from the boundary wall.
