Christina Applegate `will be back` for Anchorman sequel

New York, June 21 (ANI): Christina Applegate will be back in the much-anticipated 'Anchorman II' alongside Will Ferrell, producer Judd Apatow has revealed.

The 'Up All Night' actress, who plays the role of Veronica Corningstone, will be back for the sequel, if negotiations go to plan.

"She will be back!" the New York Post quoted Apatow as telling E! Online, when asked about Applegate.

He added that they hoped to pack the movie with many celebrity cameos like they did with the first.

"I know they want to do a lot of that. I just don't know who they're specifically thinking about," Apatow said.

When asked what he hopes to see from Ferrell's character.

"What don't I want to see him do?...I like imagining him in different parts of the world. I like the international aspect," he said.

The 40-year-old actress had said last week said that she wanted to return, but it wasn't yet a done deal.

"Of course I would love to be there...They know that. The world knows that. Why wouldn't I want to?" she said. (ANI)
