    Chocolate healthier than many fruit juices

    Washington, Feb 7 (IANS) Chocolate is healthier than many fruit juices and is a 'superfood' in its own right, says a new study conducted by a US-based chocolate company.

    Superfoods are high in anti-oxidants and compounds that help prevent damage to healthy cells.

    Researchers from the Hershey Centre for Health & Nutrition in the US found that powdered dark chocolate had more anti-oxidants and polyphenols, believed to protect us from cancer and cardiac conditions, the Chemistry Central Journal reports.

    They compared single servings of dark chocolate, cocoa, and hot chocolate mix with fruit juices including acai berries, cranberries and pomegranates, according to a Hershey statement.

    The research showed that both dark chocolate and cocoa had more antioxidant activity and more flavonols than fruit. Debra Millar, who led the study, said chocolate should be labelled a 'superfruit'.

        lol......it may be scientifically proven that it has a few positives......but the negatives greatly outweigh the positives.......chocolate companies just want to give people a reason to buy more of their product......in this case they are obscuring the whole picture and just showing the positives.....

      This is WRONG concept. Too much of Chocolate( more than 40 grams a day) is extremely harmful.The refined sugar in Chololate is very bad.According to Dr. Russell Blaylock, high sugar content and starchy carbohydrates lead to excessive insulin release, which in turn leads to falling blood sugar levels, or hypoglycemia. Hypoglycemia causes the brain to secrete glutamate in levels that can cause agitation, depression, anger, anxiety, panic attacks and an increase in suicide risk.

      1. Sugar can suppress your immune system and impair your defenses against infectious disease.
      2. Sugar upsets the mineral relationships in your body: causes chromium and copper deficiencies and interferes with absorption of calcium and magnesium.

      Read the 76 HEALTH PROBLEMS due to the refined Sugar in Chocolates. I have written before. CHOCOLATE is a DEADLY food. Don't eat it more.Eat max 40 grams only for fun,..only because you like it. DON'T BELIEVE OR TRUST what Chololate producers say about chocolate. It is a proven harmful food.

      My dear boys,
      I am not just Vijay. I am Dr. Vijay Sharma.Chocolates are really bad for children as well as for adults.The 76 problems I have listed is really a serious thing. Excess chocolates make children over active when they are young, and they will be criminals and rogues after they grow up.Parents do not realise why their child is too over active and abnormally mischivous.Chocolates/ refined sugar is the reason. Natural sugar in fruits is very good.

      Sl no.61:-. Increase in sugar intake can increase emotional instability. One will be emotionally stable with less sugar intake.
