Catholic Gym suffer first defeat in Mumbai district football

Mumbai, Aug 6 (IANS) Unbeaten Catholic Gymkhana suffered their first defeat in four games as they went down fighting 0-1 to Sahar Silver Star in a Third Division match of the Mumbai District Football Association League played at the St. Xavier's ground here Monday.

Rajeev Yadav netted the all-important winning goal in the first half of the match.

In other action, Alfresco FC and Aristocrat FC shared honouSrs in a 1-1 draw. Nelson Fernandes scored for Alfresco, while Aristocrat got their goal through Jay Shah.

Division III results: Dahisar United 2 (Hardik Mistry, Rushubn Trivedi) drew with RN Rainbow 2 (Kunal Yadre, Kiran Sawant); Alfresco FC 1 (Nelson Fernandes) drew with Aristocrat FC 1 (Jay Shah); Sahar Silver Star 1 (Rajeev Yadav) beat Catholic Gymkhana 0.
