Catherine Zeta-Jones wants to play Cleopatra in Broadway show

Washington, June 16 (ANI): Catherine Zeta-Jones is reportedly planning her return to Broadway as Cleopatra in a new rock and roll musical.

The Welsh star, who had won over critics and earned a 'Tony Award' for her star turn in 'A Little Night Music' back in 2009, also flaunted her vocal talents in the Hollywood adaptation of another Broadway show, 'Rock of Ages'.

During her appearance on U.S. talk show 'The View' on Friday, the actress admitted that she is developing a stage show about the Ancient Egyptian queen with her Traffic director Steven Soderbergh, Contactmusic reported.

"I just finished a movie with Steven Soderbergh and we have an idea - actually it was for a movie - to play Cleopatra. It's a rock and roll musical movie, but we think it would just be fantastic on Broadway," she said. (ANI)
