Los Angeles, Oct 5 (IANS) Opening up about his split from girlfriend Karreuche Tran, singer Chris Brown said that he took the decision for the sake of his ex-girlfriend Rihanna.

The 23-year-old singer was spotted kissing Rihanna at New York nightclub Griffin Monday.

"I have decided to be single to focus on my career. I love Karrueche very much but I don't want to see her hurt over my friendship with Rihanna," contactmusic.com quoted Brown as saying.
