Rio De Janeiro, July 7 (IANS) Brazil international midfielder Oscar has revealed being approached by Tottenham Hotspur about a move to the English Premier League club.
New Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas has Oscar in his sights after being impressed by the 20-year-old during a trip to Brazil in May, reports Xinhua.
"There was an approach and they spoke with my agent but that's normal," Oscar said. "I don't know if an official proposal was made. Only my agent can answer that."
Oscar, who plays for Brazilian club Internacional, was named in Brazil's 18-man Olympic squad Thursday.
He was one of Brazil's outstanding players during a series of international friendlies in May and June.
His Internacional and Brazil teammate Leandro Damiao, has also been linked with a move to Tottenham.
