New Delhi, May 21: China is not diverting the Brahmaputra, the government today assured Parliament.
Union water resources minister Pawan Kumar Bansal said there was nothing to suggest that there was a diversion.
"I can say with all sense of responsibility that there is nothing to suggest that, at present there is any quantity of water being diverted from Brahmaputra at all," he told the Rajya Sabha while replying to a question from Congress MP from Maharashtra, Hussain Dalwai.
