  • Panasonic India launched the Panasonic P51 smart-phone, markingthe entry of Panasonic into the mobile phone segment in India.

    The Panasonic P51 with a sleek design brings HDexperience to a 5-inch screen with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels. Powered bya Quad Core1.2GHz processor and running on AndroidTM 4.2 (Jelly Bean), the P51comes with a magnetic flip-cover and stylus. This device sports an 8MP camera(auto focus with flash) and a 1.3MP 720p HD front camera.

    The smartphone will come equipped with features likeeasy-to-use, ultra-responsive touch displays that allow users to check theirsocial network updates, read SMS’s, check calendar, and answer/reject/mutecalls. This phone will be available across national retail chain stores, multi-brandoutlets and distributors across India for Rs 26,500.

  • Yahoo! has released a new version of Yahoo! mobile app for Android devices. This app provides you with the best of Yahoo! news in a summarized form.

    The technology is based on the algorithmic summation technology of the app Summly. Yahoo! acquired Summly, a mobile product company, recently.

    On signing in, you can personalize the content by selecting the topics of your interest. The idea is to give you the most important information in the summarized form. The more you use the app, the more personalized content you get to read. Currently, this app is available only for the U.S. users.

    The microscope, placed over the device’s camera lens, helps you to view objects. You can also view slides placed on any backlit source. The microscope has adjustable LEDs to illuminate the selected object. The in-built optical lens provides 20X to 80X magnification. With a lithium ion battery, you can charge the microscope for two hours using a USB cable and use for five hours continuously.
