London, Sep 1 (ANI): The British House of Commons' Works of Art Committee is reportedly planning for a portrait bust of former Labour Prime Minister Tony Blair, which would placed in the UK Parliament Members' Lobby representing the Prime Ministers of the 20th century.
The House of Commons' Works of Art Committee revealed that Blair has agreed to sit for a portrait bust of himself.
"It was proposed that a portrait bust of Tony Blair be commissioned during the 2010 Parliament. Further negotiations about timings and artists would now need to take place," The Telegraph quoted a source, as saying.
It is unclear how much taxpayers' money will be spent on the artwork, as well as what size the bust of Blair is likely to be, the paper said.
The UK Parliament Members' Lobby feature statues of Sir Winston Churchill, David Lloyd George and Baroness Thatcher as well, along with busts of every 20th century prime minister of the UK.
Plans for portraits of Prime Minister David Cameron, Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg, and the former prime minister Gordon Brown have also been discussed by the committee, the paper said. (ANI)
