Jammu, June 23 (ANI): Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Murli Manohar Joshi slammed Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh for granting 10 billion dollars to resolve Eurozone crisis.
Interacting with mediapersons here, Joshi said that despite the soaring inflationary condition and declining rupee value, PM offered a huge sum of money to combat the eurozone crisis.
"Singh offered to give aid worth 10 billion dollars for the Eurozone crisis. However, he did not seek any assurance from the world leaders whom he met and discussed the prevailing situation in India, in wake of the declining value of the rupee, dip in the industrial growth rate and soaring inflation," Joshi said.
Joshi added that the economic policies implemented by the Centre resulted in the increase in disparity of income, poverty and inflation.
"The path shown by Singh, which has been appreciated by world leaders is not right. Since many years, we have been listening about the need to increase growth rate and curb revenue loss. However, till now we have not arrived at any solution either in America, Europe and India. Though the growth rate is increasing there is also surge in unemployment, poverty and inequality," he said.
