London, Feb 21 (ANI): David Beckham has lent his support to a campaign to highlight the famine crisis facing 300,000 children in East Africa.
The LA Galaxy star was among the celebrities, including Sir Alex Ferguson and comedian Eddie Izzard, calling on people to help those caught in Africa's worst drought for 60 years.
The footballer, a Goodwill Ambassador for Unicef, the United Nations' Children's Fund, spoke out after a heartfelt appeal by Prince William and Duchess Kate.
"There is nothing I wouldn't do for my children and I am sure you feel the same. Families in East Africa need you to do something," the Sun quoted him as saying.
Some of the worst hit children have been helped by the royals' Unicef appeal, but thousands still face an uncertain future. (ANI)
