Barbie takes on Kate Middleton and Prince William!

Barbie takes on Kate Middleton and Prince William!

Barbie has taken on many personas in her time, from Grace Kelly to Cher and Princess Diana, and now she’s representing the iconic moment when Prince William married Catherine Middleton at Westminster Abbey last year. And she does it pretty well!

There have been many doll versions of will and Kate in the time since their engagement, with varying degrees of success (remember that rogues gallery from last year, anyone?) These, however, are in a whole other league – save for William’s impressively lush thatch of hair – we think the likenesses are ace!

Both the dolls are wearing their wedding day attire - William doll looks regal in a mini version of his uniform, including a red jacket, blue sash and gold brocade, while the mini-Kate wears a mini-McQueen inspired dress, with a lace torso and full skirt. Her look is completed with a delicate veil, blingy tiara and matching drop earrings. And, note, quite a lot of eyeliner. See? Authentic.

Designed to commemorate the first wedding anniversary of William and Catherine, on April 29th (how is that so soon?) the Prince William and Catherine Middleton gift set is available to pre-order from today, priced at £99.99.
