By Rachana Sheth, Glamsham EditorialSize zero may be a fad and many filmmakers, these days, want their actresses to be wafer thin in their films. But here is one filmmaker who, it seems, is not fascinated with the idea of heroines being skinny. On the contrary he prefers actresses to be fuller and curvaceous. Well we are talking about maverick filmmaker Rohit Shetty. And this revelation comes from none other than our very own Asin, who will be seen in Rohit Shetty's upcoming film BOL BACHCHAN.
"Rohit may be a Bollywood director but his sensibilities are very much like a south filmmaker. Like south directors Rohit is highly disciplined and keeps his team organised. Secondly and most interestingly, Rohit doesn't like his actresses to be skinny or size zero. Where other filmmakers ask to lose weight, Rohit will ask you to eat more," says Asin, who has worked in south industry before entering Bollywood.
Since BOL BACHCHAN is majorly shot in Jaipur, Rajasthan each day Rohit made Asin gorge on Rajasthani cuisines and delicacies, which have a heavy dose of fatty foods.
Asin says, "It so happened while filming for READY and HOUSEFULL 2 I had lost enough weight. So when I embarked my shoot for BOL BACHCHAN Rohit asked me to put on weight, which for me was quite difficult. During our Jaipur schedule, Rohit used to order for Rajasthani thalis, which are rich in fats and the quantity is bit too much. He made me eat mava cakes and all. And I used to always joke around with Rohit saying he is like a south director, who don't like their actresses to be thin."
Further parsing Rohit she adds, "Rohit never speaks much on the sets. He is a tough taskmaster. Though he is rough and tough from exterior, within he is very soft and understanding. I had a great time working with him. And I wish to do more films with him in future."
Also starring Ajay Devgn, Abhishek Bachchan and Prachi Desai, BOL BACHCHAN is all set to release on 6th July 2012.
