Arjun Rampal credits Jha for his toughest role in CHAKRAVYUH

By Joginder Tuteja, Glamsham Editorial

It is known fact that other than just being a filmmaker, director Prakash Jha has been quite active in the social and political circuit as well. Since the filmmaker has been known for extracting fabulous performances from his actors, one does expect something spectacular in CHAKRAVYUH as well.

"The film is full of complicated characters and the part which I am playing is indeed one of the toughest that I have in a very long time. There is so much happening to this character, right from the dilemma that he goes through to the pain of betrayed friendship to loyalty going for a toss, to a conflict like situation happening at home itself with his wife who is herself as a cop," says Arjun.

He continues, "All credit to Prakash Jha that he has made each of his characters quite well layered and also very justified in what they do. The reason why everything that comes on screen carries meaning and purpose is because Prakash comes with a lot of clarity."

While CHAKRAVYUH has indeed been his most challenging assignment till date, he also had some good fun working on another film, AJAB GAZABB LOVE where, he is said to have an extended cameo of sorts. Also, it seems like this Jackky Bhagnani-Nidhi Subbaiah film has Arjun playing a double role.

"Well, you have to watch the film to check that out," winks Arjun, "I can tell you though that my role in the film is very unique and different. I thoroughly enjoyed doing that cameo as it is a fun set up. I have done films like DEEWANAPAN and VAADA with Vashu Bhagnani and it is out of my love and respect for him that I just went ahead and did the film. I am very happy for Jackky that the film is making good buzz."

Incidentally, CHAKRAVYUH as well as AJAB GAZABB LOVE are releasing this week itself on Wednesday and Friday respectively.
