    Another IAS officer appears before CBI in Jagan case

    Hyderabad, Feb 4 (IANS) Another senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Saturday appeared before the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the case involving alleged illegal assets of YSR Congress party leader Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy.

    K. Ratna Prabha, an IAS officer of Karnataka cadre who worked in Andhra Pradesh on deputation for last six years, was quizzed by CBI officials for over three hours at Dilkusha guest house, the camp office of the CBI, the agency's officials said.

    The lady bureaucrat had worked as secretary in revenue, urban land ceiling and information technology departments when Jaganmohan Reddy's father Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy was the chief minister.

    She is the third IAS officer to appear before the CBI in the case during the last three days. Former chief secretary P. Ramakanth Reddy and secretary, general administration, Ajay Mishra were questioned by the investigating agency with regard to the files signed by them.

    The CBI believes many projects were approved during YSR's rule on a quid-pro-quo basis to favour companies which invested in the business of Jaganmohan Reddy, who is MP from Kadapa.

    The CBI had taken up the investigations against Jaganmohan Reddy in August last year following directions from the state high court.

    It had booked Jagan and 72 others. Jagan's aide and auditor Vijay Sai Reddy is the only person arrested in the case so far.

      It is good to know that the bureaucrats are interrogated at least for their many infamous orders . They cannot cover their illegality under the cloak of '' issue discussed in the Cabinet etc '' . Indian Administrative Service is an institution that slid down over five decades in India but was destroyed in five years in Andhra Pradesh during the infamous 2004-09 period when bureaucrats had only shown how a states assets can be usurped .
      How can they ignore the people living in several habitats / villages and their links to heritage to make them part with their homes land and their families , were shoved out to facilitate usurpers in the guise of industrial development ( ! ) which never happened in any country in the world during the last Six decades . A person who gives the plan to commit a crime is more dangerous than the person who committed the crime .
      Let them at least realise now that they are bestowed with the executive powers as politicians tend to plunder . If they too join them !!!!

      In every scam, small or big, an IAS officer is central to it. In fact, thier system of selection must give due weightage to evaluation in terms of rectitude of character and family background. Mere intellegence does not make a good administrator. There should be a balanced mix of uprightness, compassion for society, moral courage and probity in conduct in public life.

      For a political favor, the IAS Cadre and other Senior Officers are forced by the Ruling Party Ministers and Leaders. If they listen to them, the Officers are permitted to work, other wise the Officers are used as a Foot Ball by these dirty Politicians. The efficiency, ability and a strict administrator of any state is no where in the news because of these Dirty Politicians.

        No body can force any one unless one oneself submit to other's dictates. These guys claim to be the best yet try to find excuses for every misdeed and try to put onus on others. VERY INTELLIGENT OR ONE SHOULD SAY CUNNING.
