Islamabad, May 20 (ANI): The Pakistan Prime Minister's Advisor on Interior Affairs, Rehman Malik, on Tuesday said that the country's armed forces would not be withdrawn from the volatile tribal areas until peace is fully restored there.
Talking to reporters in Peshawar after attending a Jirga of tribal elders, Malik described the tribesmen as patriots, and added that the government would make every possible effort to improve their living standards through development projects.
The government will not engage in dialogue with militants and terrorists and will hold talks only with tribal elders, The News quoted him as saying. (ANI)
