Coconut growers reaping profits from Coir pith

Coimbatore, May 16(ANI): Coconut growers in Tamil Nadu are reaping a huge profit from coir pith or waste fibre powder, as the demand for the eco-friendly organic base is much in demand in greenhouses across the world. Considered a disposable waste till recently, coir pith is in great demand in Europe and USA. It has benefited farmers of the state by bringing foreign revenue.

The coir pith has several usages in the horticulture industry.
