New Delhi, May 11(ANI): India's union agriculture and food minister, Sharad Pawar said on Sunday (May 11) that the proactive stand of the Indian government has kept a check on food prices in the country. Soaring prices of food across the world are breaking the budgets of the poor.

Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar said that the rising petroleum prices and increasing cost of farming has contributed to the price rise.
