Govt. rules out wheat imports after bumper harvest

New Delhi, April 23(ANI): India's Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar has ruled out wheat imports by India this year following a projected record harvest and bulging government stocks. Pawar told a meeting of State Agriculture Ministers in New Delhi on April 23 that food grain production in the country during 2007-2008 has been an all time high.

On Tuesday, India said it expected to harvest a record 76.78 million tones of wheat this year.
