Amitabh Bachchan's Big B'day bash: Bollywood came calling

New Delhi, Oct. 11 -- Amitabh Bachchan's 'surprise' birthday bash turned out be as big as the hype about it! The grand affair saw not only the Bachchan khaandan in full strength but also the entire film, political and business fraternity of Mumbai.

Sr Bachchan looked grand in an elegant yet traditional black velvet outfit, buttoned up with red cuffs and collar.

Contrasting beautifully with his ensemble, wife Jaya Bachcha was dressed in bright and heavy red Anarkali suit, teamed with a black and red dupatta.

Son Abhishek and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, too, were seen revelling in the festivities. Whether intentional or not, the couple was dressed in an off-white look, with Abhishek donning a pearl white tuxedo and Aishwarya dazzling in a heavily and intricately embroidered Anarkali suit, designed by Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla.

Daughter Shweta Bachchan also looked stunning in a golden dress that shimmered in the gleaming lights. Son-in-law Nikhil Nanda and grandson Agastya Nanda were both seen sporting black suits.
