Patna, Feb 13 (IANS) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar Monday urged the central government to adopt 'Bihar formula' of reservation in government jobs for the benefit of the extremely backward classes.
"The central government should adopt Bihar formula of reservation for government jobs," Nitish Kumar told media persons here.
He said the Bihar formula of reservation has given opportunity for empowerment of the extreme backward among the backward classes.
Bihar has earmarked separate category for extreme backward classes in the backward classes category to provide for separate quota within the 27 percent reservation category for the other backward classes.
