'9/11 mastermind' Sheikh Mohammed using 'berries given in food' to dye beard orange

London, Oct 24 (ANI): The mystery behind self-proclaimed 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed's bright orange beard has finally been solved after it emerged that he has actually been using his food to do the job.

Many observers had assumed Mohammed had used henna to dye his hair.

But a Pentagon spokesman said that he had used 'natural means', such as juice from berries he was given in his food, to achieve the strange effect, the Daily Mail reports.

According to the report, the effect looked similar to henna, which is used as a dye by some Muslim men, the pentagon official denied that Mohammed had received any 'outside' method of hair dye.

Mohammed is currently on trial in Guantanamo Bay for plotting the September 11 terror attacks, and has been in court for hearings over the last two weeks. (ANI)
