Two more cases of swine flu were reported in the city on Monday, taking the total number of cases to 59. A resident doctor at PGI and a 27-year-old man from Mohali, whose wife is being treated for swine flu, have tested positive. This is the fourteenth case of a doctor contracting the virus.
Health officials, meanwhile, collected five more samples, including that of a city-based doctor and a 15-year-old boy, on Sunday.
Officials also visited the quarantined family members of the girl from Karnal, who died of swine flu on Saturday. They said the family members hadn't shown any symptom so far.
