Bajaj unveils Kawasaki Ninja

Bajaj Auto launched the much-awaited high-end bike Kawasaki Ninja 250 cc motorcycle in Pune on Wednesday. Kawasaki Ninja 250 R will be assembled at the company's Chakan plant and will be sold through the Bajaj Probiking network in the country.

Rajiv Bajaj, MD, Bajaj Auto said that the company is planning to work with Japanese two wheeler maker Kawasaki to tap markets in the ASEAN region. "Bajaj Auto has been selling the Bajaj brand of bikes through the Kawasaki network in Philippines. We are looking at other major ASEAN markets and markets in Latin America including Brazil at a later stage," he said. Of the total exports, 15 per cent would go to the Philippines market. "We will be exporting 80,000 two wheelers to Philippines this year. We are also planning to export bikes to Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia ," he said. The bike will carry a price tag of Rs 2,69,670 ex-showroom delhi and Rs 2,69,580 ex-showroom Chennai. It has been postioned between the Rs 1 lakh and Rs 10 lakh range.
