Shopper's Stop, Vodafone launch Zoozoo merchandises

New Delhi, Oct 26 (IANS) Retail major Shopper's Stop has tied up with telecom giant Vodafone Essar to launch merchandises featuring Zoozoos, the lovable characters from a recent Vodafone advertising campaign.

According to the partnership, Shopper's Stop has the exclusive rights to manufacture and retail official Zoozoo merchandises in specified categories across. The specified categories include T-shirts, kidswear, mugs, bed and bath accessories.

The deal comes in the wake of the immense popularity Zoozoos gained during Vodafone's advertisement campaign.

Kumar Ramanathan, chief marketing officer of Vodafone said: 'Zoozoos have amassed a devout fan following and this compelled us to bring them even closer to fans in the form of merchandise.'

Added Vinay Bhatia, customer care associate and vice-president (marketing) of Vodafone: 'Character merchandising is a new emerging trend in India. We are adding a whole new dimension to this.'

The various moods of the perky Zoozoos are aptly captured in the trendy T-shirts that are available at Rs.299 onwards, company officials said.

Vodafone customers will get 10 percent discount on their purchases of Zoozoo merchandise.
