Arunachal is like any other Indian state: Rahul

Ranchi, Oct 15 (IANS) Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi Thursday brushed aside Chinese claims over Arunachal Pradesh saying it was like any other Indian state.

Gandhi made the remark when journalists wanted his reaction on China's protest against Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's visit to Arunachal Pradesh, the northeastern Indian state which China claims as its own.

China is also bitterly opposed to the planned November visit to Arunachal Pradesh by the Dalai Lama, the Tibetan spiritual leader who lives in India.
