Wipro projects $1.09 bn revenue in second quarter

Bangalore, July 18 (IANS) Wipro Ltd has projected combined revenue of $1.09 billion from its flagship IT services business for the second quarter (July-September) of this fiscal (2008-09) under the American accounting standards.

In a notification to the stock exchanges Friday, the IT bellwether said the positive outlook for this quarter was based on the combined revenue of $1.07 billion posted in the first quarter (April-June), which was marginally ahead of the guidance figure of $1.06 billion given earlier.
