Nadal wins first Wimbledon title of his career

London, July 7 (DPA) Spain's Rafael Nadal won the first Wimbledon title of his career with a 6-4, 6-4, 6-7, 6-7, 9-7 victory Sunday over world No. 1 Roger Federer of Switzerland.

For the 22-year-old Nadal, who lost the last two Wimbledon finals against Federer, the victory Sunday gives him a fifth Grand Slam title and first away from the French Open.
