Mumbai, Nov. 6 -- Improved retail investor participation, coupled with high volatility in the market, has led to a 115 per cent jump in equity market volumes in the February to September period. This has also resulted in improved revenue for brokerages, say market players.

"The resultant change in domestic investor sentiment has the steam to sustain the activity in the market," said CJ George, MD, Geojit BNP Paribas Financial Services Ltd.
