Pune, Nov. 6 -- The city that reported the country's first swine flu casualty on August 3, recorded the death of the 100th H1N1-affected patient on Thursday. Twenty eight-year-old Mohini Undre of Manjri in Pune district died at Nobel Hospital, taking the Pune swine flu toll to 100. Health officials said among the 100 swine flu-related casualties, 37 patients had other ailments like diabetes and other heart-related diseases, and eight women who succumbed to the virus were pregnant.
Pradeep Awate, medical officer and former head of state swine flu cell, said Maharashtra has recorded 206 swine flu deaths.
