India, Oct. 29 -- I make my own trends
Model Tejuswini Chowdhury may have chosen films over fashion, but she was thrilled to be back on the ramp. HT City caught up with the beauty as she walked for designers Lecoanet Hemant. Your style statement: I love to mix and match. I believe in class and confidence.
Any trends you follow: I make my own trends. What would you wear again and again: The gown I wore on the ramp was a perfect garment. Wish I could wear it everywhere. Your fashion faux pas: Wearing neon coloured nailpaint when I was a teenager.
Your style advice: Wear clothes that fit your body. If you try to fit into something too tight or too loose, it can look terrible. Worth the loss
Model Meet Kalsi who came into the limelight when he walked the ramp during the Men's Fashion Week, had quite a story to share. The model, a body-builder before he entered the profession, lost 18 kgs in 2 months after he was asked to walk the ramp. He said, "It was quite difficult, but worth the effort. The first time I walked, I was one of the few models people clapped for. That felt good." About his regimen he says, "I worked out for one-and-a-half hours daily, and ran for another half hour too. My diet was low carb and high protein."
Last minute glitches
Although the day ended on a high note, there were occasional hiccups. The ACs inside the hall didn't seem to work and people had to fan themselves with sheets of paper. Though the Grand Finale ended at 12 am, the Internet at the media centre shut by 12.30, leaving journalists stranded and a large display board in the lounge area almost fell down, giving a scare to the people nearby.
