The joys of a joystick

India, Oct. 28 -- Toyota is experimenting with joystick control for a new breed of compact cars that were on display at the Tokyo Motor Show.

The FT-EV II, which was showcased at the event, is a 4-seater, compact electric vehicle that employs the drive-by-wire technology and features a pair of joysticks with which steering, braking and acceleration can be controlled.
