Being different

Mumbai, Oct. 27 -- Designers are clearly stepping out of their comfort zone and trying their best to prep up even the simplest of outfits. Day Two at the WIFW saw this phenomenon in the form of jazzy necklines, flouncy hemlines and bowed belts.

Other trends worth emulating were asymmetrical hemlines. Even veteran designer Ritu Kumar paraded a few such outfits. Another noteworthy trend was that of fabric jewellery. It's been a while since stylists have been resorting to fabric jewellery and Pia Flemming blended it well with her designs for the runway. Rehane too impressed with her rock star-chic collection, this time in dominant gold hues and teamed with flat footwear. Talk about promoting woman power.
