It's the third year that L'Oreal has been hosting the L'Oreal Professional Colour Trophy and recently we witnessed the North Zone - regional finals at a hair-raising show held at the ITC Sheraton. The venue was jam-packed with people from the beauty industry and participants and their families were a bundle of energy.
The jury had some eminent faces like that of designer Deepika Govind, Caterine Dibiase, winner of Australian Hairdresser of the year 2007, Jojo, our very own makeup artist, Tanya Chaitanya and photographer Dilip Bhatia. 28 finalists showcased their work and the jury was on the look-out for a stylist with the makings of a trendsetter.
After a tumultuous show, the jury arrived at the winners. In the New Generation category Vinod and Madhu Saini of Shades Skin HS were winners and Kamal Sain from the same salon was the top one in the Men's Image category.
Vinay from Looks was selected from the Colour Trophy category.
If you are young, have a hectic social life where you drink and party, and have applied for a job, chances are you will lose out to someone who is a teetotaler.
