It's been about a year since director Navdeep Singh debuted with the critically acclaimed Manorama - Six Feet Under. Now fans can look forward to his next movie.

Tentatively titled Basra, it's an action thriller revolving around a RAW (Research and Analysis Wing) agent. Manorama.

starred the highly underrated Abhay Deol in the lead role, but the actor may not feature in Basra. "I've stayed in touch with Abhay but it's too early to talk about the casting.

I've spoken to a couple of actors, we will confirm once I'm through with writing the script," says Singh. Apart from the RAW agent, one male and one female character complete the love triangle in the fast-paced action thriller.

But unlike his debut film, which was made on a budget of Rs 3 crore, Basra is a Rs 25-30 crore project, which will be shot in India and the Middle East. Explaining the delay in starting his second film Singh says, "I was flooded with offers after Manorama.

But how many producers could I sell two scripts to? I'm in no rush, it's important for me to get the script right." He's yet to finalise the producers for his next movie.

Singh has been simultaneously working on an action comedy which might just end up as his second film. He points out, "It would depend on the dates of the actors.
