After staying away from reality shows for a long time, Chaitanya Choudhary has finally accepted one. The Sangam actor will soon shake a leg on Zara Nach Ke Dikha.
Chaitanya says he opted for the boy-versus-girl competition because he liked the concept. The Kahiin Toh Hoga actor adds that he doesn't look down on women, nor will the show be sexist.
"Women are way better dancers than men," he says, because of their beauty and grace. Chaitanya recalls an incident when he was barely 16.
He fell flat on his face while walking and a bunch of girls couldn't stop laughing. Only one of them helped him up.
The actor became a household name after playing Akshat in Kahiin Toh Hoga but disappeared when it ended. So far so good Chaitanya says he shot for BAG Films' Akhiyon ke Jharokon Se for nearly a year but the film was eventually shelved, following which he bagged the lead role in Sangam.
Doesn't the track get monotonous at times? "But that's normal," says Chaitanya. Bad man? Some may recall him as the baddie from Kkavyanjali.
Why no more villain roles? Chaitanya laughs that his lover boy image is probably stronger than the evil one. The actor is constantly linked with Surveen Chawla, his co-star from Kahiin.
He pleads not guilty, laughing that he is always linked with his heroines. "Surveen and I have a great rapport and that's it.
My love life is really boring," he sighs. A streak of adventure makes up for his ascetic love life.
Chaitanya recently bought an army jeep and has given it to a friend, a performance car designer. The actor plans to take it on his trekking and mountain-eering trips.
