Delhii Heights has been forgotten. Sakshi Gulati is hyping Ram Gopal Varma's Contract as her debut film.
Sakshi was a wannabe MBA who became a model by chance. "My mother suggested I take part in the Miss Delhi beauty contest two years ago.
And the Elite modelling management company, which was sponsoring the event, signed me up," she says. She is confident she won't end up as a decorative prop in this underworld drama.
"For the first time, the heroine is in the foreground in an RGV film in this genre. I have a role of substance since the decisions I make direct the course of the action," she points out.
"I'm very casually dressed, in jeans and capris. Not even showing off my midriff.
" Right choices Remind her of RGV's previous prot and #233;g and #233;s like Antara Mali and Nisha Kothari, who failed to make the grade, and Sakshi reminds you of Urmila Matondkar who went on to do pretty well. "At the end of the day, it depends on the choices one makes," she says.
She is not bound by a contract to RGV's Factory nor, she says, is she a Varma campwali. "I'll do another film with Ramu only if I like the script and my role.
Not otherwise," she says firmly. The bubbly newcomer is single and not hiding any skeletons in her closet.
She says, "I've no past and there's no one at present. But I'm hopeful there will be someone in the future.
