He put the railways back on track, gave B-school students in Singapore management gyan, has been a contestant on a TV game show AND starred in a Bollywood movie. Now vendors are selling mangoes (Rs 35/kg) with his name on it.

Railway minister Lalu Prasad Yadav has become Brand Lalu. There are Lalu dolls, Lalu chocolates, Lalu fodder and Lalu cosmetics.

Last year Lalu crackers were a big hit during Diwali and during Holi Lalu water spray guns, besides other items, made their way to the market. The minister has also talked of his Bollywood ambitions.

Lalu told Shah Rukh Khan that "whenever he is producing a film and needs anyone to do the role of a politician, I am always there." Lalu has already done a cameo in the movie Padmashree Laloo Prasad Yadav and last month he appeared in an episode of the TV show Paanchvi Pass.

He writes on his blog (yes, he has a blog!!): "I will not be acting in films which are only about clinging and hugging each other .

I should be given an appropriate role.

" He says, "Today several people from the film industry are entering politics. But a true leader hesitates to enter the world of films since Bollywood is show business.
