2G scam: Delhi trail court dismisses Swamy's plea against Chidambaram

New Delhi, Feb 4 (ANI): A trail court here on Saturday dismissed a petition filled by Janata Party President Subramanian Swamy seeking to make Union Home Minister P Chidambaram a co-accused in the 2G spectrum scam case.

Special Judge OP Saini allowed only Swamy, his wife Roxanne, his private secretary and counsels into the court initially, but later allowed others to enter.

Swamy has alleged that Chidambaram was equally culpable like former telecom minister A Raja, as he also had a role in deciding the spectrum pricing and allowing telecom companies to off-load shares to foreign firms

The apex court on Thursday quashed 122 spectrum licences granted after January 2008, and asked a trial court to decide whether Chidambaram needs to be probed for his role in the spectrum case.

The apex court verdict was in response to Swamy's petition seeking a CBI probe into Chidambaram's alleged role in the spectrum scam, and on two pleas filed by noted lawyer Prashant Bhushan seeking cancellation of 2G licences and the setting up of a SIT to probe the scam.

Swamy had on January 7 submitted documents seeking prosecution of Chidambaram in the case before a Delhi court.

The telecom scam, one of India's biggest graft cases ever, may have cost 39.57 billion dollars in expected revenue losses to the public exchequer as per the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India's report. (ANI)

The Trail Court has dismissed the appeal. It is not the end.We have to wait for the High Court's and Supreme Court's judgement to know whether Chidambaram should be made co-accused alongwith Raja.

What else one could have expected from the corruption infested system and we all know that even judges and judiciary is deeply infected by it leaving millions of Indians high and dry and making thugs and corrupt all the more rich and powerful. Ultimately God's hand will only teach a lesson to the these thugs and we hopefully see it happening. This Sardar and Italian import has looted us of everything.

All the hunger india is becoz of 60 years of congress rule. All the garbage in India is thanks to 60 years of congress rule. No women cop stations in our states made compulsory is due to congress misrule. Justice Saini's verdict is not acceptable and we feel he has not given justice to the hungry indians, hungry for food, hungry for aesthtics and civic sense, hungry for safety of women and chlidren.
