Atleast 10 people are said to be injured when a high-intensity bomb went off near a restaurant in the upscale locality of Peshawar. The bomb was reportedly placed in a car.
Earlier, a suicide bomber struck near Pakistan's strategic Air Force base reported to be a nuclear facility, killing atleast 7 and injuring several others. The explosives were denoted near the check post outside the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex.
This attack on the Air Force base, situated in Pakistan's Punjab province, is the latest in the series of attacks targeting security forces. These strikes on key Pakistani establishments come in light of Pakistan Army's major ground offensive against militants on their western side.
