HYDERABAD, India (AP) Australia captain Ricky Ponting won the toss and elected to bat first Thursday in the fifth limited-overs international against India at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. After four games of the seven-match series, Australia and India are level at 2-2.
Hit hard by injuries, Australia made three changes in its lineup. Pace bowler Clint McKay makes his one-day international debut, replacing Mitchell Johnson, while allrounder Adam Voges and fast bowler Ben Hilfenhaus come into the side for injured Moises Henriques and Peter Siddle.
Injuries to Siddle and Henriques this week have depleted the Australian touring team. Fast bowler Brett Lee, wicketkeeper Tim Paine and all-rounder James Hopes were earlier sidelined from the ongoing series.
India made two changes after batsman Gautam Gambhir passed a fitness test to reclaim his place from Virat Kohli, while pace bowler Munaf Patel replaces Ishant Sharma. __ Lineups: Australia: Ricky Ponting (captain), Shane Watson, Shaun Marsh, Michael Hussey, Cameron White, Adam Voges, Graham Manou, Nathan Hauritz, Doug Bollinger, Ben Hilfenhaus and Clint McKay.
