SYDNEY, Australia (AP) _ Former rugby league international Timana Tahu has been named in his first Australian rugby squad for the forthcoming Tri-Nations tournament. Tahu was picked Monday in Australia's 30-man squad after starring for Australia A in the Pacific Nations Cup, scoring twice in Sunday's 21-18 loss to New Zealand Maori that gave the New Zealand side the title.
It is the former Kangaroos and New South Wales league star's first selection for the Wallabies since converting to union this year. Australia's Tri-Nations campaign begins July 19 at Perth against World Cup champions South Africa.
