IPS officers transferred in Guj

Ahmedabad Nov 7 (PTI) The Gujarat government today transferred more than 20 senior IPS officials from DIG range onwards. These transfers were due for long and today orders have been issued, a senior official in the Chief Minister''s Office (CMO) told PTI. Range IG of Surat, Shivanand Jha, who was holding the additional charge of the city''s police commissioner, has been confirmed in the post, while A K Singh has been appointed as new range IG of Surat.

J K Bhatt has been transferred as range IG Baroda, while A K Sharma has been posted as range IG Gandhinagar, where Bhatt was posted. In Ahmedabad city, Additional Police Commissioner (Traffic) Atul Karwal has been posted as Additional CP of sector I while incumbent Mohan Jha has been shifted to traffic branch as additional CP..
