New Delhi, Nov 7 (PTI) Gur prices continued to rise by up to Rs 50 per quintal in the national capital today on sluggish demand against adequate stocks. However, gur raskat in Muzzafarnagar found selective stockists buying and traded higher.
Marketmen said adequate stocks position following increased arrival from producing region against subdued demand mainly led to fall in wholesale gur prices. In Delhi, gur chakku, pedi and dhayya were down by Rs 50 each to Rs 2500-2600, Rs 2500-2600 and Rs 2600-2650 per quintal.
Turning to Muzzafar Nagar, gur raskat moved up to Rs 2250-2300 from previous level of Rs 2150-2300 per quintal. Following are today''s quotations in Rs per quintal: Chakku Rs 2,500-2,600, Pedi Rs 2,500-2,600 and Dhayya 2,600-2,650, shakkar Rs 2,800-2,900.
In Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 2250-2300, chakku Rs 2,400-2,500 and Khurpa 2200-2250. In Muradnagar: Pedi 2,300-2,350 and Dhaya 2,350-2400.
