New Delhi, Nov 7 (PTI) Two more persons succumbed to swine flu today even as 66 fresh cases of the disease were reported from across the country. The deaths were reported from Kerala and Punjab.
Of the 66 cases, Delhi reported 18, Maharashtra 13, Haryana 9 and Uttar Pradesh 1. Out of them, one has a foreign travel origin while the rest are indigenous cases.
Till date, samples from 75822 people have been tested for swine flu and 18.9 per cent of them have been found to be positive. Meanwhile, in Orissa, with swine flu affecting school children in Orissa''s Sundargarh district, the state government today asked the Union Health Ministry to supply liquid tamiflu for treatment of patients.
Of the 16 patients tested positive for H1N1 virus so far there, eight were girl children, Health Minister Prasanna Acharya said after a meeting on swine flu chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
