Mel Gibson''s Russian girlfriend hopes to marry him soon

London, Nov 5 (PTI) After giving birth to her first child with Hollywood actor Mel Gibson, Russian singer Oksana Grigorieva now wants to take the next step in their relationship and get married in the near future. The couple welcomed their first baby, daughter Lucia, together in Los Angeles last Friday and the singer is convinced that they have a long future ahead of them, because they are "very, very happy together", Glamour magazine reported.

"Yes. I hope so.

Yes," Grigorieva said when she was asked about her marriage plans with the ''Braveheart'' star. "Mel and I are very, very happy together.

He''s an amazing person. I adore him.

We are both very lucky," she added. Earlier, Grigorieva had said that she was in no mood to rush into things and has no plans to marry the star.

Gibson''s relationship with Grigorieva became public just weeks before he announced his separation with Robyn, his wife of 28 years. However, Grigorieva claims Gibson had been separated from Robyn for two years before she embarked on her own romance with the star and is perturbed by all the negative stories surrounding them.

"I was just sad, really, I mean where does all that hatred come from? And the anger? Maybe it''s jealousy. All I can think is these people must be unhappy," Grigorieva said.
